The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chelsea Hot On Chloe’s Trail – Frenemy Fight Ahead

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is determined to locate her frenemy on ‘The Young and the Restless’. That’s why she bribed a staff member at one of the mental health facilities where Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) once sought treatment. Appointing herself as the lead detective, Chelsea is hot on her former best friend’s trail.

Whether this storyline proves to be a lead-in to Adam’s (formerly played by Justin Hartley) next resurrection remains to be seen. But viewers clearly feel that Chloe will be seen again. That instinct is based upon Hendrickson’s continued presence in the cast list and Greg Rikaart’s (Kevin) announced departure this summer.

Tied to Chelsea’s current pursuit are the fates to two men. Nick (Joshua Morrow) has encouraged his now-significant other to pursue Adam’s perceived killer. He’s done that knowing Chelsea may likely learn that his withheld knowledge will eventually be exposed. Nick’s information is linked to who else, Victor (Eric Braeden).

The level of betrayal that Chelsea is sure to feel for her father-in-law can’t be measured. She learned to trust Victor again after Adam died last September. Learning that the ‘Moustache’ arranged for Chloe’s early release from a restricted facility so she could frame Adam for Constance’s (Sally Kellerman) murder and that he then helped Chloe to escape Genoa City will be enraging.

Victor will attempt to talk his way around matters, but Chelsea won’t care. However, the situation with Nick will be far more vexing. Will learning that he also betrayed her trust result in a Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) paternity reveal? Chelsea has purely retained that fact in order to protect Nick to-date. But coming events will almost assuredly make her want to strike back at the man who’s actually Christian’s uncle, instead of his father.

Chloe knocked Chelsea out the last time both women saw each other. As their next battle approaches, Chloe better be prepared. There’s no telling what Chelsea will do to her friend who’s actually been an enemy for years.
