The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chelsea Gains Ground On Chloe – Summer Spectacular Approaching

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is not about to let Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) escape justice on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Instead, she smells her former best friend’s scent and continues to pursue her with intensity. Nick (Joshua Morrow) stands by his latest significant other’s side, which could prove problematic for him based upon what he knows about his father’s involvement in Chloe’s crimes.

The idea that Victor (Eric Braeden) would pay a doctor to have Chloe released before she was stable is actually believable. Viewers have certainly read stories, or are personally aware of corruption in the real world. But to think that Dr. Harris (Ron Melendez) would then have the lady in question living in his house? Well yes, that is outrageous.

Chick’s unexpected joint trip to the doctor’s residence provided a juicy week-ending cliffhanger. Chloe came from Dr. Harris’ dining room as he was on the phone speaking to Victor. Meanwhile, back in Genoa City the ‘Moustache’ made an unusual blunder.

Scott (Daniel Hall) was roaming Newman’s corporate, uh halls (joke intended) when he overheard Victor’s conversation. Mentioning Chloe’s name in an open area could be explained away as his reaction to the doctor’s update. But considering the lengths to which the ‘Black Knight’ has gone to cover his tracks, that mistake appeared to be a pure dialogue vehicle intended to further this storyline.

The approaching intersection of multiple character’s efforts surely spells a summer spectacular. From one angle, Chelsea and Nick are trying to locate Chloe. Scott’s access to his manipulative boss also allows a second perspective to be written into this drama. Then, as is often the case Victor is involved, which skews the image even further.

The fact that Hendrickson wasn’t been removed from the cast list after she left Genoa City and then was shown twice in later scenes in subsequent weeks underscores that a Chloe climax will occur within the next handful of months. Many lives will be impacted by what happens. Said outcome may also lead into the return of Adam (to be played by whoever).
