Cane (Daniel Goddard) used to be a nice guy on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But he’s turned into a jerk in recent months. What happened with Juliet (Laur Allen) in Tokyo, Japan, the way he sabotaged Billy (Jason Thompson) and the company in California went completely against this character’s type. Both acts seem certain to negatively alter Cane’s life in the near future.
Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) group text served to gather Brash and Sassy’s main players at the corporate office. Based upon what was initially said, it seemed as though Billy was going to be fired. That delighted Cane, thus enabling his smirk. He and Juliet were asked to leave the room while Vickie spoke alone with her two-time ex-husband.
Billy volunteered to resign after Vickie explained the Professional Hockey League’s position about the ill-fated commercial shoot. Behind-the-scenes footage caught Billy suggested that two players place a bet on the Final. A clear offsides was called, as today’s super sensitive all-eyes and ears world would pounce on the suggestion that the fix was in.
So Cane gleefully believed that Billy was about to be forced out of the company, as his plan intended. Little did he and Juliet know, but Vickie had not intended to fire Billy. Later, poor Juliet got the axe.

Vickie needed someone to pin the blame on. So Juliet became that person. Miss Helton will clearly become irate if she ever learns that Cane orchestrated the events that led to her termination. At that point nothing would prevent Julie from telling Lily (Christel Khalil) what happened a few months ago after a night of sake bombs.
