The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane’s Nightmare Deepens – Billy Closing In

Cane (Daniel Goddard) hasn’t been thinking straight for months on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Every decision he’s made could arguably be seen as worse than his preceding choices. Now, as his nightmare deepens Billy (Jason Thompson) is closing in on the truth behind the DARE commercial shoot.

As soon as Jesse appeared in Genoa City viewers knew that this arc was moving toward climax. He’s the videographer that Cane paid to sabotage Billy’s Professional Hockey League deal. That business bashing involved a planned commercial that was to be shot in Los Angeles, which included Lily’s (Christel Khalil) comeback to the industry.

Distracted by various things, Cane oddly opted to go after Billy in a deeply underhanded, if not criminal manner. Spliced footage and withheld video images made it look like Billy had encouraged two hockey players to be on the PHL final.

Fallout led to Juliet’s (Laur Allen) firing, which spurned her harassment suit against Brash and Sassy. Cane was falsely tagged as the harasser in that instance. After Victoria (Amelia Heinle) settled she fired Mr. Ashby.

Facing a hefty tuition payment, Cane was shown ready to raid his children’s private school saving’s account. Lily’s arrival prevented her husband from making that transfer to meet Jesse’s $25,000 blackmail demand.

After Jesse left Cane with his online account information he made his way to Crimson Lights. Billy happened to see Jesse and confronted him. Faced with Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) brush off and Cane’s seeming rejection, the California creep offered Billy information in return for money.

Cane’s world has been chaotic through 2017. But this second-shoe drop, where everyone learns what he did in Los Angeles will prove epic. Personal pain and messy business matters will be infinitely compounded.

Lily has given Cane room to redeem himself. But confirmation of his cowardly actions, which sunk her own work in California and led to Juliet’s lawsuit will almost certainly prove to be the end of the road for ‘Lane’.
