It’s natural for Cane (Daniel Goddard) to feel awkward on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He’s been forced to work with Juliet (Laur Allen) at Brash and Sassy. As soon as Tokyo happened, working with this particular woman also was never going to be preferred. Of course, that’s as long as ‘Lane’ exists.
What is Juliet’s game plan, or does she even have one? That’s a hard question to answer at this point in the character’s life because viewers don’t have enough information, or know much about her backstory.

Lily (Christel Khalil) will be livid on many levels when (not if) she learns what happened after the successful business meeting Cane and Juliet had with Sato-san (Richard Narita). Would Mrs. Ashby have been able to forgive her husband if he came clean when he returned to Genoa City? Possibly, but each day that he’s withheld the facts from her has only served to further degrade his trustworthiness.
Juliet has directly told Cane on a number of occasions to forget what happened and chalk it up to sake bombs. She’s pressed him to withhold the full story from Lily. It appears that Juliet is mostly, or solely offering that advice in order to preserve her just-gained position with Victoria’s company.
To-date, Lily was the only partner who violated ‘Lane’s’ vows. It took Cane a long time to overcome that betrayal. With the relationship tables having been turned, Lily likely will react in at least the same fashion as Cane did when the Joe (Scott Elrod) situation was revealed.
Cane was noticeably written off-center long before he flew to Japan and met Juliet. That setup appears to have been written to establish Cane’s lapse in judgment. However, honest critique of the Cane-Juliet incident reveals that Cane surely knew what he was doing. Miss Helton clearly wasn’t Mrs. Ashby, regardless of how many drinks both people downed.

A looming question must be asked as well. Was Juliet inebriated beyond good judgment, or has she been pulling Cane’s strings since that night?
