The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane Waits For Billy To Implode – No Need To Fight During the Game

Cane (Daniel Goddard) knows what he has to do on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Actually, it’s the only option he has for the moment. Billy (Jason Thompson) has Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) heart and also her ear. So rather than fight their emotional connection Cane decided to wait for Billy do what he’s often done, implode.

Jill (Jess Walton) purposely recruited Billy, Vickie and Cane to run Brash and Sassy. Her motivations were split between personal and business goals. The personal intention involved ‘Villy’s’ resurrection. Cane’s presence was valued as well, but was clearly a secondary consideration. Of course Jill also hoped to make a profit as well.

Vickie tapped the $500 million fortune she gained by suing her father (along with Nick, Joshua Morrow, and Abby, Melissa Ordway) to buy Brash and Sassy from Jill. Billy was happy with that development for a variety of reasons, one of which included his then-current goal of reconciling with Vickie. ‘Philly’ is back on, which changed his mind at least for now.

Cane hoped to buy the company, but couldn’t raise the capital to do so. He knows that he won’t be a true player as long as Vickie and Billy are in cahoots. So he’s trying to bury himself within his job, while also handling the Juliet (Laur Allen) problem. Yes, he’s stuck. But there are reasons for Cane to be encouraged.

Vickie possesses a savvy business mind. Like Victor (Eric Braeden), she knows what Cane really wants. In a reversal of personal intentions, she’s also switched places with Billy. She now hopes to revive their marriage, while he’s just committed to Phyllis (Gina Tognoni).

The Professional Hockey League deal appears to be stretching Brash and Sassy’s fluid capital. Cane believes Billy’s idea, that Vickie instantly greenlighted, could pull the company under if all doesn’t flow well and the battle between ‘Villy’ and ‘Philly’ will continue indefinitely. So Cane decided to stop fighting Billy because he believes Mr. Abbott will defeat himself.
