‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Cane Not Thrilled By Lily’s Modeling – Marriage Trouble To Come?

Lily (Christel Khalil) is smart and attractive on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Both factors make her a good fit for Brash and Sassy’s new fashion campaign, which played into her instant acceptance of Jill’s (Jess Walton) job offer. But Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) grudging support of Lily’s choice was intriguing, as it could indicate trouble in the near future.

Using his charming Australian accent, Cane told Lily that he didn’t want to share his wife with the world. She understood his feelings and offered comfort. However, Mr. Ashby’s instincts appear to run deeper than that non-threatening issue.

Darnell Kirkwood will portray Jordan Wilde in an upcoming episode of Y&R. This character is currently scheduled for a short stint, if not simply a one-off appearance. Jordan will work as a Brash and Sassy photographer. Old-school fans can make an easy logic leap to Malcolm’s (Shemar Moore) appeal to the ladies when he was Jabot’s celebrated photog.

Whether Lily becomes involved with Jordan or not, her rediscovered career could take her to far-off places, which could push Cane’s mind to jealous places. Her professional interactions might not necessarily involve another man, but could lead her to dangerous outcomes.

Cane has been genuinely supportive of his wife’s professional career, as she has of his return to the corporate world. However, managing Devon’s (Bryton James) Genoa City Athletic Club allows Lily to be easily accessible each day year-round.

Considering martial strains that both ‘Lane’ partners applied in the past, it’s fair to wonder if this couple will be able to smoothly negotiate natural stressors that arise when one spouse’s career takes her or him out of town.

The twins are good-hearted, but they’re also naturally active at their age.
