The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane Issues Warning – Hilary Doesn’t Know What He’ll Do Next

Consider what Cane (Daniel Goddard) has done in the past handful of months ‘The Young and the Restless’. That history is why Hilary (Mishael Morgan) should be fearful of how Mr. Ashby might respond at any point. Cane stands to lose his marriage, family and his career and so he’ll remain off-center for awhile.

Revenge has been on Hilary’s mind for a long time. It’s possible that she’s never relinquished the vindictive feelings she’s had for many in the Winters’ clan. As Lily’s (Christel Khalil) husband, Cane was ensnared in Hilary’s initial blackmail plans when she first arrived in Genoa City. He blocked those attempts, but this time appears to be doomed.

Cane confronted Hilary at the GC Athletic Club, telling her that he knew she overheard his conversation with Juliet (Laur Allen) about what happened in Tokyo. Hilary denied knowing anything, least of all being the force that coerced Juliet to sue Brash and Sassy.

If we were talking about the old Cane Ashby, Hilary wouldn’t have much to worry about. That bloke was an even-keeled soul. Yes, he faked his death long before Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). But Cane did that to protect his family.

Today’s Cane has devolved into an insecure saboteur who’ll apparently do anything to cover his guilt. He went off-track after needing knee surgery. Y&R teased that he might become a prescription pain killer addict, but seemingly wrote that arc away. Is it possible that he has been using meds to deal with the unseen aftereffects of his medical procedure?

With whatever his reasons, Cane connected with Juliet in Japan. It seemed that neither side wanted it to happen, but it did and now Juliet is using that encounter to attack Brash and Sassy.

Viewers also know that Cane intentionally setup Billy (Jason Thompson) for a fall in California. That icky act resulted in Juliet being fired and the present legal issue being in play.

Hilary sees other people’s lives as putty for a GC Buzz segment. She’s opted to use Mariah (Camryn Grimes) to pursue this developing story. Cane has already demonstrated that he’ll breach morality to keep his world intact. If he feels all is lost, Hilary stands as a main target to strike back at.
