The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane Foolishly Lying To Lily – Juliet Scandal Destroys Marriage?Cane (Daniel Goddard) confirmed important information on ‘The Young and the Restless’. When asked, Juliet (Laur Allen) admitted that she stayed in his room while they were in Tokyo, but only because she was inebriated. Her camisole found its way into his suitcase as a result.

Whether Juliet is playing a manipulation game is uncertain. However, Cane has been rethinking why the woman who worked with him on the Sato (Richard Narita) deal allowed him to drink so much sake afterwards.

Plus, Juliet’s nagging requests that Cane recommend her for a full-time position as Brash and Sassy’s Asian representative are increasingly suspicious.

This could all be a misunderstanding. Juliet didn’t know Cane, so she might not have realized he’d downed 10 sake bombs. She was drinking herself and could have easily been tipsy.

Cane is a middle-aged man. So, with whatever transpired, Juliet didn’t force anything to happen. But did she enable the situation as a form of manipulation?

Past marital issues have plagued ‘Lane’ through the years. While their troubles were serious, many couples endure strife. That’s why Cane should not be withholding what happened in Japan from Lily (Christel Khalil).

Mrs. Ashby is the exact person who could help her husband determine what course of action he should take next. By coming clean Cane would also negate the conflicted feelings he’s added to this increasingly complex business-personal mix.

An equally important dilemma exists in Cane’s workplace. He likely doesn’t plan to share the details of this situation with Vickie (Amelia Heinle). Feeling insecure about the recent full buyout of the company she once founded turned Miss Newman into a boss-adversary. And Billy (Jason Thompson) is no confidant either.

Of course soaps are injected with extended conflicts in order to create weekday drama. So this issue is believable as written, but mustn’t be drawn out indefinitely or serve to end ‘Lane’.

Cane still has time to reverse course, though a certain level of marital trust has already been breached. Considering his scatterbrained state in recent months, Mr. Ashby doesn’t feel confident enough to tell his wife everything, though he should because his initial actions weren’t committed with ill-will.
