The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Billy Has Two Options – Phyllis Verses Victoria

Billy (Jason Thompson) thinks he loves two women on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is his rush crush and potentially, future wife. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) has been part of his soul for years. Whether both women remain viable romantic options will soon be determined.

Vickie is about to learn that ‘Philly’ has been revived. She’s bound to react emotionally as soon as that happens. What ex-wife, or ex-husband (in a vice versa scenario) wouldn’t in a similar instance?

Phyllis believes that Billy has moved past Vickie. That assertion is based upon his recently expressed frustrations and an apparent decision to break free from the grip of the ‘Ice Queen’.

The resolution to Bella’s (Cali May Kinder) paternity issue also impacted his feelings. But has Phyllis fully concluded that Vickie is no longer a threat to ‘Philly’s’ chance at happiness?

Standing as the mother of one of his children and the adoptive mother of another, Vickie maintains significant access to Billy’s life. Regardless of what anyone in this trio decides, Billy and Vickie will remain connected. That point alone partially blocks Miss Summer’s path.

Yet another edition of ‘Villy’ isn’t the only outcome that could push Phyllis aside either. It’s the idea of Victoria, and Billy’s seemingly endless pursuit of her that has and should cause Phyllis to continue fretting.

Mr. Abbott has demonstrated significant maturity recently. He’s genuinely been a good stepfather figure for Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) and has fully supported Vickie’s workplace aura at Brash and Sassy. Both factors, along with Billy’s sincere concern for Jill (Jess Walton), when she began battling heart problems, affected Vickie’s perceptions.

Timing is often key in life. So just at the point in time when Vickie decided she wanted Billy back, he opted to commit to Phyllis.

Love issues have driven daytime dramas since they were referred to as soap operas. This classic triangle has been smartly written, as the ‘Philly’ revival might not have been expected by some (including this scribe). Whether the anticipated ‘Villy’ reunion has been completely dismissed can now be questioned as well.
