The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Alice Puts Up A Good Front – Crystal Remains in Danger

Alice (Tamara Clatterbuck) is mixing truth with lies on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She’s good, but Sharon (Sharon Case) hasn’t been emotionally swayed. Yes, Cassie and Mariah’s (both played by Camryn Grimes) mother’s first inclination remains right.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) agreed to Sharon’s request to put a tracking device on Alice’s car. The former Mrs. Newman made that suggestion before Alice talked down memory road. It’s good she did because Crystal (Morgan Obenreder) is under Alice’s control.

Alice likely wasn’t lying when she said she dreams about Cassie. But following up on that by saying that Cassie always tells her to do the right thing is surely a front. However, it could be that Alice is conflicted about her current profession and is projecting a cry for help.

Sharon believed that Alice is part of the criminal ring that’s invaded Genoa City. Her theory was based on circumstantial evidence, but also upon Alice’s past history.

Viewers know that Sharon’s initial conclusion is right. Alice masked the truth by saying that she worked in sales. Trafficking human beings for money isn’t a job, it’s a crime.

Many hardcore Y&R fans love seeing Sharon and Nick recoupled, if only to pursue this angle. Yes, it’s been years since they were actually married. But at least the show is offering a nod to the past when these two legacy characters were a true duo.

It appeared as though ‘Shick’ was finally being revived in the recent past, but then Gina Tognoni assumed the role of Phyllis, entered the church where vows were about to be finalized and that was that for the hoped-for ‘Shick’ reunion. But subsequent storylines have at least allowed fans to see both fine actors working as a team.

The Crystal arc is revving into high gear now that Mariah and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) have been told about Alice. By the time fall officially arrives Crystal should be close to being rescued by all the good-hearted characters.
