The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Abby Sees Nikki Kissing Jack – Victor Must Be Told

Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) strong suit isn’t discretion on ‘The Young and the Restless’. That’s why seeing her uncle Jack (Peter Bergman) kissing Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) creates a classic soapy dilemma. So, will daddy’s girl tell?

Despite the persona she’s presented for years, Miss Newman is smart. She’s also undeniably gorgeous. Abby has been learning to harness and then properly apply both attributes in her adult years.

Unlike her other Newman siblings, Abby didn’t shun the family business. Nick (Joshua Morrow) has long exhibited an attitude toward Victor (Eric Braeden), which isn’t totally unjustified. Vickie (Amelia Heinle) smiles at her father for awhile, eventually gets mad, stomps her feet and runs off for awhile, only to return at later points.

The absence of Victor’s first two children at Newman Enterprises created an opportunity that Abby embraced this year. She’s been allowed to test drive Victor’s CEO chair for many months. But her loyalty is tied to this privilege.

Abby knows that she owes it to her dad to tell him what she saw. Yes, that obligation is complicated by the fact that Jack is her mom’s brother. So let’s peer inside the mind of this understandably conflicted lady. Ordway’s projected lines follow.

Abby is thinking, “What! Uncle Jack and Nikki?

“If I don’t tell dad what I saw he’ll yell at me like he did when the concert almost had to be canceled.

“If I do tell dad, uncle Jack will be mad at me. But I don’t work for Jabot anymore. So I know what I have to do.”

Viewers know that a few lines of dialogue won’t be followed by immediate action, as Y&R isn’t a half-hour sitcom, or second tier movie. Yes, this scenario needs to build through a number of weeks until reaching a climax.

Fans recall that Abby doesn’t know about Victor’s link to Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Everyone, including her own mother (Ashley, Eileen Davidson), father and all connected family members believe that she has split loyalties. But will that working theory prove true in this instance?
