The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Abby Frazzled – Nick Pulls A Cane Via Sabotage

Anyone who’s seen ‘The Young and the Restless’ knows that Abby (Melissa Ordway) was a diva in the past. Victor (Eric Braeden) putting her in charge of the concert was an interesting choice. While it’s not surprising that Abby is frazzled, when the truth is revealed about the benefit’s glitch her efforts will be fully vindicated, as she did nothing wrong.

To Abby’s credit, she worked with Scott (Daniel Hall). That unlikely pair actually accomplished what was tasked to them by the ‘Moustache’. However, Nick (Joshua Morrow) took matters into his own petulant hands, which was dead wrong.

Seeing that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was under duress (and when isn’t she?), Nick decided to sabotage the charity event.

Victor’s vanity fair for his many-time bride actually was a great idea. But his son’s intent to nix the night sent Abby into a tizzy.

Nick looked at a soda can the other day. Then, in an incident that wasn’t shown, he apparently dumped approximately 12 ounces of carbonated beverage onto a sound board. With that expensive piece of technology rendered useless, a safety inspector told Abby that he had to shut the event down.

Victor didn’t accept the safety inspector’s decision and was insistent that his grand gesture play out. So, being a money man, he offered the government employee cash to keep the venue open.

Meanwhile, Abby began crying because, in part, Victor yelled at her. Of course, Nick is the culprit in this instance and this poor soul did nothing wrong.

The idea that Nicholas (his full first name is being used as it leads into a dress down) would pull a Cane (Daniel Goddard) is incredible. And yes, the reference to Mr. Ashby is highly relevant. Viewers haven’t forgotten what he did to Billy (Jason Thompson) in Los Angeles.

Nick is always griping about his dad being an oaf. Yet, he seized upon an opportunity to manipulate this situation, which is exactly what Victor often does himself. Abby isn’t a goof and Nick should stop playing around.
