The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Abby and Scott Spotlighted – Victor’s Current Go-To Couple

Victor (Eric Braeden) currently believes in Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Scott (Daniel Hall) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He’s relying on them to help him run Newman Enterprises in the absence of his other living children. But fans are right to wonder how long both characters will be trusted and if they’ll form a romantic bond?

Abby was long thought of as a lightweight. She was seen as flighty and often confirmed as much by vacillating between Jabot and Newman, meaning her two families and their businesses.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) went all Fleetwood Mac (‘Go Your Own Way’) long ago. He only made a cameo appearance at Newman Towers when Victor was in jail in order to help Vickie (Amelia Heinle) run the place.

Otherwise, Nick has managed ‘The Underground’, been involved with baby drama, lost his wife (Sage, Kelly Sullivan), bonded with Adam (Justin Hartley) before he supposedly died, often shot his mouth off to his father, poured a can of soda on a sound board in order to sabotage Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) concert and recently was involved in two separate fisticuff incidents with the ‘Moustache’. Yes, Nicholas isn’t corporate material.

Victor’s first-born daughter has created plenty of work for Newman’s human resources department. Those generally unseen souls have redone Vickie’s hire paperwork countless times.

Victoria (the more formal moniker that Victor employs) left the business most recently to join Brash and Sassy, the one-time Newman beauty division that she founded long ago. Jill (Jess Walton) eventually sold the business to her, due in part to Victor encouraging his daughter to reclaim her business baby.

Victor hasn’t fully soured on Victoria, who may well be his favorite child as has been long suspected. So she could come back someday. But in the meantime Abby and Scott will continue to serve as the ‘Black Knight’s’ two trusted executives.

Whether ‘Scabby’ actually becomes a couple is intriguing. Scott is with Sharon (Sharon Case), but that relationship just started. Abby remains alone, but clearly is susceptible to having her buttons pushed by Scott, as has been shown to-date. Their likely continued workplace connection therefore enables romantic opportunities to abound indefinitely.
