The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal Michael Muhney (Adam Newman) has taken to social media with a major tease for his dedicated fans, who have been campaigning since he left in 2014 to bring him back as their beloved Adam. The character was recast and another fan favorite, Justin Hartley took over until Adam’s presumed death in September 2016.

Y&R’s Adam Newman has long since been a loved, but seriously misunderstood son of the all powerful Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). He struggled for everything he has, including his marriage to the woman he feels is the love of his life, Chelsea Lawson Newman (Melissa Claire Egan).

Just before Adam was kidnapped by Chelsea’s best friend, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), we learned he was father to Sully/Christian. It will be interesting to see what happens when he returns and finds out his wife is now involved in a romantic relationship with his half-brother, Nicholas “Nick” Newman (Joshua Morrow); and his son, “Christian” is alive and being raised as Nick’s son.
The Young and the Restless’ Victor Newman may also pay dearly if Adam is alive and returning to Genoa City once he learns that Victor is the reason Chloe came back to help him frame Adam. His return could create havoc on a number of people and their relationships, causing break ups and possible reconciliations; either way it will be a joy to see Adam roaming the streets of Genoa City again.
Although it hasn’t been confirmed by CBS that Michael Muhney will be returning, his tweets tease that he is as he tells fans that he hopes to be returning and added he will more than likely be back on TV before the end of 2017.
