There’s a hot new, “The Young and the Restless,” rumor making the rounds and if it’s true, a certain Genoa City mother-daughter duo are in for the shock of their lives!
Could Sharon (Sharon Case) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) be about to both add and lose a crucial family member all at the same time? They are if the latest rumor is true!
Just as one legendary daytime actor exits the Y&R canvas, another is set to arrive. Former, “One Life to Live,” star Trevor St. John (ex, Victor Lord Jr.) may be headed to Genoa City hot on the heels of Dylan McAvoy’s (Steve Burton) disappearance.
Is this a crazy coincidence or a matter of new writers, new direction, New Year? It remains to be seen how family matters will shake out for Mariah and Sharon, but a new man in both of their lives would be something Y&R fans could get behind.

If the rumor is true, St. John will play the role of Frank Barritt, Mariah’s supposedly dead biological father. But wait, it turns out that a little misinformation was mistakenly disseminated! It wasn’t Frank who died all those years ago, it was his twin brother Hank.
What do you think Y&R viewers, how would Mariah and Sharon react to new blood popping up in town? Sharon is bound to take the news of Dylan’s disappearance hard, maybe even be pushed past the brink pf sanity (again).
Would a new man be just the thing she needs to keep her straight and level and functioning as a mom to struggling Faith (Alyvia Lind)?

If Frank does come to town, Mariah is apt to be much more upset than Sharon by the sudden arrival. She’s had a hard time trusting people after her disastrous upbringing in Ian Ward’s (Ray Wise) cult.
Although she could use a strong male role model, it would be just like Mariah to put walls up and fight off any good intentions her father brings.

I am glad that Mariah’s Dad is coming on. Thou I don’t want Sharon to jump into another relationship. I want her back with Nick but after sometime.Sharon needs to rebuild her relationship with Faith. Sharon needs to get herself together n all these storylines about her mental illnesses needs to be address. Hope Sharon n her father have a good relationship n hope that Doris (Sharon’s) Mom comes back also. Happy to see Walt A playing the part of Sharon’s father. Now just bring Michael K back on for Ashley, Please.
