What would cause Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) to return to ‘The Young and the Restless’? One of the great villains in daytime history just made a shocking reappearance on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. So what plot vehicle will be used to enable her seemingly inevitable trip back to Wisconsin?

Scott (Daniel Hall) was one of the people Sheila used years ago to terrorize Lauren (Tracey Bregman). At the time he was a baby. Miss Carter’s name was referenced in passing when Hall joined the cast. So it makes sense to believe that Mr. Grainger will be the lure that draws her back to Genoa City.
Victor (Eric Braeden) currently employs Scott through a guilt contract. The ‘Moustache’ paid a $10 million ransom to deranged lunatics who represent the modern incarnation of a 1930’s group that committed similar atrocities in Germany, among many other places.
Y&R used modern times to offer a political statement regarding journalist’s role in this ongoing situation. That gives this scribe perceived license to reference that topic within this space. Solid soap has always steeped core stories in real world situations. Therefore, Scott’s meaningful adult backstory has been explained.
But Victor isn’t employing Scott to expose evil in the world. Instead, he’s supplied him with busy work and could easily send him west to scout out the Forrester’s. Y&R viewers recall that Eric (John McCook) returned to his original home when he crossed over from B&B to help Lauren a number of months ago. Was that a brief foreshadowing?
And by the way, all who choose to believe that only gray areas of life exist must also think that Newman-esque personalities don’t exist within all countries. Partisans who won’t admit that truth aren’t being honest.
Sending Scott to California in a B&B crossover would obviously enable a Sheila intersection. That’s the only spark that’s needed to reignite the flame of the best bad lady in Y&R’s history, in this scribe’s opinion. However, Sheila’s ability to survive her apparent death by Lauren’s hands in 2007 must be explained.
Like the aforementioned rogues who took Scott and his friend captive, Sheila also appears to be sub-human. The real world can be rid of people who resemble her if enough brave souls are prepared to make deep, potentially infinite sacrifices. And no one can deny that the true horror show has shifted from the screen to reality.
