The Young and the Restless (YR) RUMOR: Vickie Corrupts J.T.’s Investigation – Ruse Leads to Revived Relationship

Vickie (Amelia Heinle) just learned that her mother committed a crime on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) admitted that she’d taken money from Victor (Eric Braeden) and shifted it to an offshore bank account. J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) is investigating the ‘Moustache’s’ personal financial matters, which spells trouble for his former mother-in-law. That’s why Vickie will need to corrupt her ex-husband’s efforts with the promise of love.

J.T. just flew in from Poland, where his business interests were based. He formerly lived with Mackenzie (Clementine Ford), their children and Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) in Washington, D.C. That town is infamous for conflicts of interest corrupting investigations through the years.

So the man who Paul (Doug Davidson) called in to help investigate Victor is the corporate mogul’s former son-in-law. J.T. also is the father of the ‘Black Knight’s’ grandson, Reed and the former husband of Victoria. Yet, J.T. told his ex-wife that he can conduct a fair investigation into all things Newman. Uh, no.

Any honest person would recuse himself from investigating a matter that was a provable conflict of interest. Said personalities choose to believe that no one else on the planet is more capable than they are of performing said task. Yes, that large shadow seen on this page represents J.T.’s ego.

Vickie is a romantic free agent who just wants to be friends with Billy (Jason Thompson) these days. Said status means that she’ll have no problem applying as much pressure as possible against one of her former husband’s now that he has the power to make her mother’s life horrible.

In what will first begin as a way to convince J.T. to go easy on Nikki, Vickie will play mind games with her former husband. As this new arc flows forward into the new year, legitimate feelings will then be reignited.

J.T.V will eventually reform as a result. Whether that revived relationship leads remarriage is why Y&R represents good soap.
