‘The Young and the Restless’ POLL: Which Y&R Actor Deserves a Daytime Emmy? Vote in Our Poll!

“The Young and the Restless” fans are gearing up for the 44th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Most of us our hoping a few of our favorite actors will score a nod. Let’s take a look at several standouts so you can decide who deserves a statuette.

First, we have Justin Hartley. He had many touching scenes during Adam’s departure storyline. Adam was torn apart when he was framed for murder. His prison stint left him in a dark place and that gave Hartley the opportunity to flex his acting chops.

When Adam asked Nick (Joshua Morrow) to watch over Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois), many “Young and the Restless” viewers were reaching for the tissues. Hartley put his heart into those scenes as well as others. Adam’s escape plot also gave Hartley some great moments with Eric Braeden (Victor), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe). His delivery was certainly powerful.

Joshua Morrow had a chance to blow everyone away, too. When Nick lost Sage (Kelly Sullivan), Morrow made us feel his sorrow. He later rose to the occasion during the Christian reveal. Nick unleashed his wrath once Sharon (Sharon Case) made her confession. Morrow’s outbursts were epic!

Y&R watchers can’t forget about Steve Burton (Dylan) either. He took center stage during much of the baby drama. It was heartbreaking to watch Dylan grieve for the son he never had. Burton really achieved the look and feel of a faux father in pain. It was some of his best work on “The Young and the Restless.”

Finally, there’s Jason Thompson (Billy). He’s done a fantastic job from day one, but he truly brought his “A” game during the “Philly” affair. Thompson made us sense Billy’s deep attraction to Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). The betrayal aspect also brought some heated and emotional scenes with Jack (Peter Bergman).

The cheating scandal gave Thompson some good material. In fact, all of these actors had some nice scenes for potential Daytime Emmy reels. Will any of them get a nomination or even a win? We’ll give you updates as more news emerges on the award show.
