The Young and the Restless Poll: Which Couple Is Your Least Favorite?

Subjectivity will rule this poll question about ‘The Young and the Restless’. Among all couples, which duo is the most annoying?

‘Niktor’ has split more often than a cheap zipper. ‘Pikki Nikki’ (Melody Thomas Scott) and ‘Vindictive Victor’ (Eric Braeden) have got to be the most ridiculous pair of lovey-dovey’s in Genoa City, or possibly on all of the daytime soaps.

Segundo (Victor’s dog) fares better than the woman the ‘Moustache’ claims to love. It would be generous to say that he makes eye contact with Nikki 23 percent of the time that she’s trying to have a conversation with the lout.

Nikki has committed far less offenses than her husband. But she’s knowingly enabled him throughout the soapy ages. Outrageous!

‘Philly’ is represented by two rebound rubes. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) broke Jack’s (Peter Bergman) heart because she didn’t like how he responded to the Marco (also Bergman) situation. Little ‘Billy-boy’ (Jason Thompson) then targeted his brother’s wife. Almost enough said.

Phyllis has convinced herself that Billy is her next soul mate. Really, where’s the evidence for that former ‘Red’? You lost your mojo since you began cavorting with this eternal screw-up.

And Billy, you’re not even half the man John (Jerry Douglas) was. The Genoa City court should legally order that an immediate DNA test be conducted to confirm who’s kid you actually are. Oh, and then there’s the issue of you always putting Vickie (Amelia Heinle) first because you love her more than Phyllis.

‘Chick’ hasn’t fooled hardcore fans. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) were not interested in each other. Y&R’s writing staff manufactured this pairing because Sage (Kelly Sullivan) was written out of the story and later, Justin Hartley (Adam) moved onto ‘This Is Us’.

Chelsea is used to the type of access that the Newman name gives her. Grifter, everyone sees your game, except Nick apparently.

Nick was so in love with Sage that he transferred his emotions to Chelsea’s pretty face. Of course this is the guy who abandoned Sharon (Sharon Case) after Cassie (Camryn Grimes) died.

In addition to the above there are other longterm, or newer couples that can be accessed by all Y&R viewers. Yes, the tone of this piece was purposely written to be as grating as the couples that were mentioned. No, the above wasn’t a comment on the people who portray the characters referenced, as this scribe thinks that each actor is great.
