‘The Young and the Restless’ POLL: What Was Your Least Favorite Y&R Storyline In 2016? VOTE!

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) has told some great stories this year but some of them haven’t been so great leaving diehard fans gritting their teeth trying to get through them. The powers that be has even shocked us with the tragic death of Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan)

The number one most shocking story will definitely be the sudden death of Sage. Y&R fans were in an uproar over it, and still keeps a bitter taste in our mouths. Sage had been through a lot in her short time she was in Genoa City. She had made a lot of mistakes, but in the end, we adored her; who didn’t feel for her when she died right after finding out such happy news?

When she discovered that Sully was actually her son, Christian, she had full intentions of taking her son back and raising him with her husband, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Unfortunately, Sage would never get the chance to hold Christian and share the joyous news with Nick.

The Young and the Restless’ Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) has got to be one of the most despicable characters on the entire show. We watched as she hid the truth from her husband Dylan (Steve Burton), and allowed him to raise Sully/Christian as his own for almost a year before everything came out. When it comes to Sharon, some fans will not be satisfied until she pays for everything she has done, no more blaming her actions on her mental illness, it has been overplayed!

Y&R continues the merry-go-round with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). These two have got to be the most toxic couple on the show, and a lot of fans are tired of them reuniting. When will Victoria grow up and realize that she needs to support her family and husband before being a daddy’s girl and when will Billy learn that he needs to love his wife and children more than he hates Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)?

What do you think of Billy, and the grave mistake he made by sleeping with his brother Jack’s (Peter Bergman) wife, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni). Everyone knew that Jack and Phyllis were headed for a breakup, except for Jack but did she really need to sleep with his brother? We are not sure which story is worse, the fact that Billy was pining over Victoria the whole time Travis Crawford (Michael Roark) was in her life, or that he suddenly fell in love with his brother’s wife and started an affair with her.

How about Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) returning to Genoa City with her young daughter, Bella (Cali May Kinder)? The Young and the Restless is dragging the story out. Fans have been left speculating who her father is; will it take the return of Gloria Bardwell (Judith Chapman) to discover the truth?

Chloe’s return didn’t come at a price. She pretends to be Chelsea’s friend and biggest supporter but had everything to do with Adam going to prison and ultimately his death. How many times will Adam be declared dead? Chelsea has mourned for him repeatedly; can she really believe this is their final goodbye?

Who isn’t tired of Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan)? Hilary has taunted the Winters family for years only to end up married to both father, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) and son, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Her whole coma, kidnapping and miraculous recovery was ridiculous. The only good thing that came out of this story was Dr. Simon Neville (Michael E. Knight), and even his story was cut right when he was connecting with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). Hilary has been a retched woman and we all have to wonder how long before the Winters family is able to be rid of her?
