‘The Young and the Restless’ Poll: Do You Prefer Nikki and Sharon Being Friends Or Foes? VOTE!

Recently on “The Young and the Restless” we all witnessed Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) and her mother-in-law Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) turning over a new leaf.

It was very surprising when Nikki Newman showed up to comfort Sharon McAvoy after saying goodbye to Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton). Definitely a change of pace on Y&R, but very enjoyable. What did you viewers think?

Over the years Sharon and Nikki have been known for their all out catfights and always bickering with one another. Sharon was even shocked herself when Nikki offered her a shoulder to lean on. Sharon still lashed out a bit, but Nikki did not take it personally.

It’s very different seeing Nikki and Sharon getting a long so well. It’s nice to see this side of Nikki Newman, the more nurturing, loving side. Sharon could definitely use someone in her corner right now with all that she’s going through, so who better than Nikki Newman. After all she is the mother of Dylan and knows Sharon’s pain better than anyone else.

The new headwriter Sally Sussman wanted to change up the show a bit and boy has she done that. We are all getting use to the change. It could be that Sharon and Nikki’s relationship was one of those changes. Do you think it would be a good change?

Fans always enjoy a good catfight, but some seriousness is always great as well. It’s awesome that the writers are exploring this option with Nikki and Sharon, but who knows how long it will last.
