The Young and the Restless Alum Justin Hartley Admits ‘I Took Jobs In The Past Because I Had Bills to Pay’

Former The Young and the Restless star Justin Hartley admits that he’s taken a few jobs in the past not because he wanted to, but because he had to pay the bills. As a matter of fact, the handsome television actor says he knew that taking on his role as Kevin Pearson in the hit NBC dramedy was not only a good choice, but that it would change his life forever.

Before signing on to play Kevin Pearson, fans best knew Justin as Adam Newman on NBC’s daytime television hit The Young and the Restless. But before that, Justin had a minor role in Smallville, Passions, Mistresses, Revenge and More. But it was This is Us that managed to put him on the Hollywood map. Before that, he took whatever jobs were available just to make ends meet. But he ultimately left his soap opera days behind for This is Us and hasn’t looked back since.

According to The Day, Justin explained, “There are jobs like this that come along that are one in a bazillion. I’ve taken jobs because I have bills to pay. I’m also lucky I’ve taken some good jobs that I’m really proud of. But I think anybody in any profession could probably say that.”
