The Good Doctor Freddie Highmore Calls Y&R Alum Michael Muhney Brilliant

The Good Doctor star Freddie Highmore has nothing but great things to say about The Young and the Restless alum Michael Muhney. In fact, he said that Michael was absolutely brilliant when he guest starred on the show during the “Point Three Percent” episode back in October.

Michael played a distraught father who was hiding the truth about his son’s disease. Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) clashed with the young boy’s parents as he tried to convince them to change their mind and their outlook on their son’s diagnosis. It was one of the most emotionally intense episodes of the season so far. And according to Freddie, it was also one of his favorites.

The actor recently told the Toronto Sun that Michael was absolutely on point in his role. He told the paper, “I think Michael was brilliant (as Mr. Gallico). The whole family unit was exceptional and he was so great in that final scene as he came to terms with the fact that his son was most likely going to die.”

So does this mean that we will be seeing more of Michael on The Good Doctor? Should he have a recurring role on the show? Seeing how he managed to impress both his co-stars and his fans, there’s a good chance that might happen. Our fingers are crossed! It’s without a doubt that Michael’s fans want to see more of him one way or another.

So far Michael himself has not made any comments about his future television plans. The Good Doctor airs Mondays at 9 pm EST on the ABC network.
