The Bold and the Beautiful Star Jacob Young Brought Music, Joy and Smiles To Union Hospital

‘The Bold the Beautiful’ star Jacob Young made a very special visit to Union Hospital in Elkton to meet with hospital staff, patients, and of course, his fans. Many audiences know Jacob for his roles as Rick Forrester on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful,’ Lucky Spencer on ‘General Hospital’ and JR Chandler on ‘All My Children.’

Jacob Young might be one of the best looking actors on daytime television, but he’s also one that has a heart of gold. During his visit to Union Hospital, he performed several different songs. The actor happened to be in Elkton for a special performance to help raise money for the high school’s marching band.

If that weren’t enough, Jacob took the time to pose for pictures with both the hospital’s staff and patients. The Union Hospital Patient Care Services department shared several of the staff and fan photos on their Facebook page.

And while Jacob might be one of the biggest soap stars out there, he says that he’s always been deeply passionate about his music. In an interview with Cecil Wig, the actor said that he’s been trying to juggle his country music career with his on-screen obligations for years now. If there’s one thing he’ll never do, it’s give up on his music.

He told the site, “I decided to, you know, not put the guitar down, but I decided to stop trying to do it professionally. It was two years worth of work, flying criss-cross between states, and it was kind of defeating a little bit. But I never stopped playing, I never stopped writing.”
