The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Sally and Liam Developing Chemistry – Steffy Rightly Irked

Bill (Don Diamont) told Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that Liam (Scott Clifton) had a thing for Sally (Courtney Hope) on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. She didn’t believe her father-in-law, but he could be proven right. While sympathy for her situation and fondness for his efforts are the leading emotions each character is exhibiting, there’s little doubt chemistry is developing between Liam and Sally.

Steffy was rightly irked by seeing her husband hug Sally in his office. The ginormous generosity Liam has channeled through Spencer Publications coffers to Sally represents an attempt to right Bill’s crime. Yet, at the same time any third party would wonder if Liam sees Sally as more than just someone who was put upon by his monster of a father.

The choice between modelesque Stephanie Forrester Spencer and appealing Sally Spectra II is surely subjective. Steffy is an accomplished business woman who was born on the right side of the tracks. Sally cavorts with the creative class and is considered by many to be a con.

Liam sees himself as a force for good in Los Angeles. He’s also a global citizen who believes in a fluid form of social justice. That view of reality made Sally’s restoration his first moral statement.

The problem for Spencer Publications is that Liam has the heart of a non-profit foundation head. But his family’s company hasn’t thrived on that philosophy.

Sans Bill’s ability to make money B&B fans, along with various characters, are right to wonder if Liam’s idealist approach will eventually put the company in financial peril. Add to that the pressure his father is sure to apply in various ways and the potential for him to eventually be personally involved with Sally.

Liam may well be distracted from vital bottom line concerns as he pursues his own version of feel-good capitalism. An enduring business needs heart, but it also must have mental muscle. Viewers will soon learn if Liam is able to exhibit both needed strengths.
