The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Eric’s Plan Wasn’t Smart – James Enables Sheila’s Scheme

It seemed that Eric (John McCook) had outsmarted Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. But the former Mrs. Warwick’s scheme was actually furthered by calling in James (Ian Buchanan).

B&B created the ability for Buchanan’s character to return when Eric said that the doctor who initially evaluated Sheila wasn’t available. Wanting to keep the issue quiet and not involve the police, as Quinn had assaulted Sheila, Eric than called James, who happened to be in Los Angeles.

Considering their past history, Eric’s plan didn’t prove to be smart. Second-guessing life on the soaps, or in reality is a subjective assessment to be sure.

After examining his ex-wife, James concluded that there was nothing physically preventing Sheila from leaving Eric’s house. After telling the concussed lady that she should prepared her things and that he would be sharing his medical assessment with the Forrester patriarch, Sheila’s threatening voice was heard.

She didn’t go for the jugular immediately, instead asserting that Eric’s protection from Quinn (Rena Sofer) was her goal. Then, Sheila played the family card, telling James that they were once married and had a daughter, Mary (Courtnee Draper).

James wasn’t initially interested, again repeating that Sheila was well enough to leave. That’s when the future of Dr. Warwick’s medical license was put into question.

Sheila advised her one-time spouse that she knew James had written prescriptions to himself. She claimed that information was gleaned from conversations with Mary while she (Sheila) was inside, meaning in prison.

Buchanan’s character was stunned by Sheila’s threat. James knew he was caught, quickly acknowledging the implication was true by stating that he’d beaten his pain-killer problem.

Sheila told James that family had to protect each other and they’d have no problem as long as he told Eric that she wasn’t ready to leave the Forrester estate. Eric returned to the room and asked James for his diagnosis, which was offered per Sheila’s specifications.

It was great to see Brown and Buchanan (who was last seen in 2011) back together again. Easily one of Sheila’s most entertaining puppets, James’ B&B revival appears to indicate that the floodgate to many other connected characters has now been opened.
