The Bold and the Beautiful Winsor Harmon insists that he’s not bitter about his shock exit, even though the decision came as a surprise to him. The veteran soap actor opens up about producers’ surprising move to recast his character Thorne Forrester, which just happened to be a role that Winsor had played on the highly-rated soap for well over two decades.
Winsor has been replaced by new actor Ingo Rademacher. Unfortunately, Winsor admits that he didn’t see the move coming at all. According to Soap Opera Digest, it left him shocked, especially since executive producers Brad Bell had asked him to appear at a special fan event back in August.
Winsor told the publication, “It shocked me, “especially since [Executive Producer Brad Bell] had called said, ‘I want you to come to the fan club event [in August].’ I was told there was a storyline coming and then [a month later], I got the call from him that he was going to recast the role. So yeah, it was a bit of a shocker, I have to say.”
But at the same time, Winsor insists he isn’t bitter even though the move has left him suddenly unemployed. He continued, “God gave me something very special. The majority of people don’t get the opportunity to achieve what I’ve achieved in my life. I spent 21 years on the No. 1 show in the world. I’m a part of history, and I have to be grateful for that. I can’t sit here and say that I’m angry.”
