It looks like Jacob Young has a lot to look forward to in the New Year! The Bold and the Beautiful star shared some very exciting news about a secret that he’s been keeping under wraps from his fans for months now.

Many fans know Jacob Young as handsome businessman Rick Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful but he also has an exciting side project that keeps him busy: his country music career. The actor announced on his Instagram page that his new single, Better Than a Love Song, will be available on iTunes after the New Year.
Jacob shared a sneak peek of the cover art and captioned it with, “Comin’ at you January 2018! Better Than Love Song Available on: #Itunes #applemusic #amazon #google #spotify.”
It didn’t take very long for his fans to respond to the good news as they commented on his post with, “Congratulations! I can’t wait to hear it,” along with, “Awesome!!! Can’t wait to hear it!! Happy New Year to u and ur family!!!!”
Earlier this year, Jacob also opened up about his passion for music. In an interview with Cecil Wig, Jacob admitted that he’s been trying to juggle his country music career with his on-screen obligations for many years now.
He said, “I decided to, you know, not put the guitar down, but I decided to stop trying to do it professionally. It was two years worth of work, flying criss cross between states, and it was kind of defeating a little bit. But I never stopped playing, I never stopped writing.”
