The Bold and the Beautiful Comings and Goings: B&B Casting Call For New Lead Black Male Sparks Zende Recast Rumors

“The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers tease that the CBS soap will be adding a new face to the lineup. According to Jamey Giddens of Daytime Confidential, the show is on the hunt for a new leading man. They want a 22 to 24-year-old black male and that news has sparked some serious recast rumors.

Is “The Bold and the Beautiful” looking for another Zende? If Rome Flynn is leaving B&B, they would undoubtedly want to replace him. Zende is gearing up for some big stories at the moment. Now that he’s growing closer to Maya (Karla Mosley), there are sure to be some problems in Zende’s marriage. Nicole (Reign Edwards) isn’t going to be pleased if she suspects they’ve crossed the line.

Rick (Jacob Young) will inevitably get caught in the conflict as well. “The Bold and the Beautiful” is just kicking this plot off, so Zende needs to be around for it in some form. Many viewers will be bummed if it turns out Flynn is headed for the exit door, but Nicole needs someone around as a love interest. If a different actor has to play Zende, then so be it.

However, a Zende recast isn’t the only option for this casting call. Perhaps this is actually a brand-new character. It wouldn’t hurt to toss in another soap hunk. We all know how B&B likes to do love triangles. Maybe Nicole could find herself caught between Zende and the newbie. That might lead to some great drama.

Once that storyline was done, they could always throw Sasha (Felisha Cooper) back into the mix. She could end up with the guy who goes in Nicole’s reject pile. Sasha tends to be pretty desperate, so she wouldn’t mind! Regardless of what route the show takes, it seems we’ll have to get used to a new face around town.
