The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers indicate that actor Ingo Rademacher was just as shocked as everyone else when he found out that he would be taking over for Winsor Harmon as the new Thorne on the hit daytime television series.
According to reports, Harmon hasn’t had an official contract with The Bold and the Beautiful in years. He had appeared sporadically in a few episodes, the last one being Quinn and Eric’s wedding. With one foot out the door, it was pretty obvious that another actor would come in to take over the role from him. Yet, Ingo Rademacher said he was surprised to find out that it would be him, mostly because he and Harmon were good friends for so many years. He didn’t want to feel like he was taking Thorne away from him and possibly cause friction in their friendship.
Explaining just how shocked he was over the casting to CBS Soaps In Depth, Rademacher says, “I guess Brad said, ‘Hold on a second; I have a better idea for him.’ He was always really cool and friendly, and we’ve hung out at events and things like that. I said to my wife, ‘I feel kind of bad, because I actually know the guy and really like him. But you see recasts all the daytime all the time. It’s just the way it goes.”
Rademacher is currently taping episodes and is expected to make his debut on the Monday, November 27 episode. The Bold and the Beautiful fans will soon enough find out if he has what it takes to play Thorne in the same dramatic way that Winsor Harmon did for so many years.
