Steve Burton Back To Work At General Hospital Teases GH Return

Spoiler alert: The plot thickens with Steve Burton’s return to General Hospital! Keeping in line with all the good fun and eager anticipation that his homecoming has engendered, Burton just tweeted out a soap-tac-ular tease for all his fans.

Burton just posted, “You guys aren’t even ready for what’s to come. @1SteveBurton #GH #BackToWork,” along with a pic of the fit star standing under a banner reading, “General Hospital.”

Talk about a tease, and soap fans love it! Burton looks in great shape as he beams in the L.A. sunshine, and no doubt he’s savoring every moment leading up to his comeback.

His return to the soap set that made him famous can’t come soon enough for fans of the hit ABC sudser, but show execs are remaining tight-lipped with any details about Stone Cold’s homecoming.

GH’s executive producer Frank Valentini recently shared that Burton’s story has been developed and is in place. The big question on everyone’s lips is, will it be a real, faux, or evil-twin Jason plot?

Valentini didn’t spill any revelations that fans can take to the bank, but he did promise that the beloved star’s return will affect the canvas in a big way.

According to an interview with Michael Fairman, the showrunner promised that fans can expect Burton’s arrival to, “change the paradigm, and change the dynamic of the show.”

It definitely sounds like loyal viewers can expect a blockbuster storyline, one worthy of Burton’s enormous talents.

In addition, Burton’s presence was guaranteed to, “create a lot more romance, a lot more intrigue, a lot more adventure, and all the stuff that you want from the show.”

Burton spent almost 20 years portraying Jason Morgan Quartermaine on the hit Daytime Emmy-winning drama series and most recently played Dylan on The Young and the Restless.

So fans, as the countdown to the big day is on, tell us who you think Burton will bring to Port Charles!
