Hollywood star Patrick Bergin has been tapped to play the shady newbie Aidan Maguire. The smooth talker is Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) former jail mate and the con man makes an immediate impact on down and out Mick.

Showrunners have teased that Mick, Phil and Aidan will share an explosive Christmas storyline and by the looks of Mick’s and Aidan’s intense meet-up, the future alliance is sure to cause a commotion in the Square.

Coronation Street

Over on Coronation Street, look for the tension between Rana (Bhavna Limbachia) and Kate (Faye Brooks) to come to a shocking apex.

Luke (Dean Fagan) will continue to get pulled into the messy situation as Kate keeps venting to him about her love life. When Rana decides to stay with her lawfully wedded hubby, Kate impulsively decides to relocate to Spain. Ay caramba!

This week sparks fly between Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) and Pete (Anthony Quinlan) on Emmerdale. Will this beautiful twosome reunite for a sizzling second act? Things start to heat up when they find themselves alone together at the Barton house!

Hollyoaks

The entire village is set to rock on Hollyoaks when Darcy (Aisling Jarrett-Gavin) gets her knickers in a twist over her man and that minx Maxine (Nikki Sanderson).
