The soap opera ratings have been reported by Soap Opera Network for the week of Monday, December 4, 2017, to Friday, December 8, 2017. There was no breaking news that would have disrupted the ratings in any way.
ABC’s GH is hitting all time new highs with the Chris Van Etten and Shelly Altman at the helm. In total viewership, they made a massive leap of 209,000 from last week, now with 2,900,000 in total viewers. Numbers also rose dramatically in women aged 18-49 going up 64,000 from the previous week. It definitely was a week full of action as everyone begins to deal with the reality of Jason (Steve Burton) and Drew (Billy Miller) being twin brothers. Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) had fans in hysterics when they used a stink bomb to uncover who revealed the truth behind Ask Man Landers. Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) made her return to Port Charles and Michael (Chad Duell) learns Nelle (Chloe Lanier) is pregnant). GH had quite a week; it’s no wonder this soap opera jumped in ratings!

This week, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) continues to struggle with her guilt of sleeping with Bill (Don Diamont) as her husband, Liam (Scott Clifton) does everything he can to make their marriage better, like he was the guilty party. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) continues to be the object of affection caught between Thorne (Ingo Rademacher) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). Eric (John McCook) is also caught between sons when Thorne reveals how talented he really is and challenges Ridge’s true authority at the family business.
CBS’ Y&R fell a little bit this week in ratings, losing 9,000 in total viewership but still at the top with 4,476,000 in total viewers. The CBS soap opera also dropped 2,000 with women viewers aged 18-49. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) makes Ravi (Abhi Sinha) a job offer, he couldn’t refuse, even hinting she is interested in him. Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) is arrested and asked to connect Victor (Eric Braeden) to the gun, but she refuses. People are outraged when they learn Chancellor Park is set to be sold and overhauled. Kevin (Greg Rikaart) returns to town and people learn he worked for Victor. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Jack (Peter Bergman) continue to butt heads over who should control Jabot. Baby Sam impacts many people’s lives, including Lily (Christel Khalil) and Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan).
NBC’s DOOL plummets! It was the only soap opera that gained last week in total viewership but this week it dropped by 80,000 with total viewers; now having a total of 2,318,000. Also, DOOL lost another 30,000 viewers among women 18-49. Ciara (Victoria Konefal) returns to town, angry at the world. Rafe (Galen Gering) finds comfort in Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) bed when him and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) end their engagement but reunite the next day. Sonny (Freddie Smith) chooses Will (Chandler Massey), just as Will is flirting with Paul (Christopher Sean). Eric (Greg Vaughan) plays peacemaker and comforts his distraught twin sister; while Eve (Kassie DePaiva) takes over the Kiriakis mansion and Steve (Stephen Nichols) angrily confronts Kate (Lauren Koslow) for blackmailing his son, Tripp (Lucas Adams).
