Neighbours Spoilers: Sonya Hits The Bottle Hard, Messy Divorce Could Lead To Deadly Overdose

Sonya has lost her husband and child on, “Neighbours,” is she now about to lose her life? When the heartbroken woman returns to the bottle for comfort, she may end up providing an unintentional final solution to her problems!

Sonya’s had a rough couple of months, losing a surrogate child and breaking up with her husband, Toadie. The strong woman was coping though, until another man went and complicated things. When Mark Brennan kissed Sonya and told her about his feelings toward her, her fragile mental state couldn’t handle the pressure and she turned to the bottle for some liquid courage.

Neighbours spoilers tease that when Toadie finds out about her stolen kiss, he decides to play dirty in the divorce. Nice guy! It seems that Toadie’s brother Shane saw Sonya and Mark kissing, and he couldn’t wait to run and tell his brother. Shane has been gone from town for 20 years, but now he’s back on orders from his mom Angie.

Angie wants to make sure that her boy is treated right, so when Shane sees Sonya stepping out on Toadie, he doesn’t hesitate to spill the beans. Both Toadie and Sonya’s friend Steph are irate about the news, and Sonya’s response is to hit the bottle hard. With no one to turn to, Sonya downs two bottles of wine and promptly passes out. Steph of all people finds her and doesn’t know what to do; should she tell Toadie about Sonya’s relapse?

Is this truly the end of Sonya and Toadie’s marriage? Or will Mark step in and take charge of things, furthering the animosity between him and Toadie and Steph? Then again, Shane has a part to play in the proceedings, will he end up being an unlikely friend to his brother’s estranged wife now that he’s back in town?

Sonya has nowhere to go but up, but will her decision to start drinking again wind up killing more than just her marriage?
