Neighbours Spoilers: Jack Threatens Mark – How Will Paige React?

Neighbours spoilers tease that the recent reunion of Mark and Paige has naturally resulted in Mark spending a lot more time with Gabe. In light of recent events, Jack is not happy about this.

The on-off relationship between Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor) and Paige Smith (Olympia Valance) has been a rollercoaster to say the least. The pair met as housemates when Paige moved to Ramsay Street. Although Mark was still struggling to move on from his deceased fiancée Kate Ramsay (Ashleigh Brewer), the pair began to date. Both viewers and writers could sense the strong chemistry between the two characters so, despite a rocky start, the two became an official couple.

After their relationship progressed Paige proposed to Mark ‘by accident’, but after he said yes, the two planned to marry. But of course, no wedding goes ahead without drama in soap-land! After getting caught up in some illegal activity between Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns) and Dennis Dimato (David Serafin), Mark arrested Paige on their wedding day, in front of the guests! Safe to say the betrothal didn’t go ahead, and the two ended up parting ways.

Paige then met Jack Callahan in 2016, when he saved her life during the Lassiter’s boiler room explosion. After Jack (known then as John Doe) woke up suffering from amnesia, Paige felt she had to help him discover who he really was. Of course, the two caught feelings and were on the brink of a relationship when Jack realised his true identity – a Catholic Priest.

Feeling his calling was with the church, Jack ended any chance of a relationship with Paige. Nevertheless, upon coming to Paige’s aid after the hot air balloon accident, the two shared a moment of passion in a shed. Of course, nine months later they had a child together, but eventually decided they were only destined to be friends.

However, fans were shocked by a surprise reunion between Paige and Mark in June of this year. Deciding she didn’t want to rekindle their romance, Paige pushed Mark and Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta) together instead, before realising that she was still in love with Mark after all this time.

Eventually the pair have got back together, but their relationship isn’t pleasing Jack. This isn’t from a place of jealousy – Jack is happy with Steph Scully (Carla Bonner) – but rather out of concern for Gabe. Mark recently lost a child and after his alleged harassment of Hamish, Jack is worried about him forming too close a relationship with Gabe.

After hearing that Gabe is sleeping in bed with Mark and Paige, as well as hearing of a severe argument between the couple concerning the Hamish investigation, Jack asks Mark to stay away from his son.
