Neighbours Spoilers: Hot! New 2018 Storylines – Murder Twists, Pregnancies, More Dee Drama

With another two weeks before Neighbours is back on screen, it feels like us fans have forever to wait! But what can we expect to see in 2018? Hopefully these storylines can get us excited and make the wait worthwhile!

Who killed Hamish?

With the final episode ending with Tyler being taken away after admitting to hitting Hamish over the head with a gnome, it seems like this story should be over. As all the other suspects have solid alibis, Tyler should be guilty, right? Fans think not! Whodunit storylines rarely end with a main character being the guilty party, and so it is possible that a shock twist will see Tyler as innocent. We do know Travis Burns, who plays Tyler, hasn’t been filming since October – but what does this mean? It will definitely be interesting to see how this story further unfolds.

Who kidnapped Gabe?

Perhaps the most shocking part of the finale was when Paige realised that Gabe wasn’t in his pram, but instead with an abductor in a car that was driving away at speed. Spoilers already answer this question – it was Louise. We know that Louise kidnaps baby Gabe in hope of getting ransom money and a passport out of the country, but when Mark turns up Gabe is nowhere to be seen. Viewers are very excited to see the exact details of this story, and find out Gabe’s ultimate fate!

Real Dee, Fake Dee or another Dee?

After thinking the Dee saga was over when Andrea left for London in the summer, fans were stunned when Dee was seen sat on a park bench in August, with no explanation. It was a shock then to see her drive past Toadie and Sonya’s vow renewal on Christmas day. But was it Dee at all – maybe it was Andrea again, or another doppelganger? Neighbours producer Jason Herbison has promised that Madeline West has been back filming and so there is many exciting things to come with this storyline!

Will Sonya get pregnant? 

In the finale week, Toadie and Sonya were busy telling everyone but each other that they wanted another child. Eventually they did sit down and talk about it, so it looks like another Rebecchi baby might be coming along in 2018. With Angie offering her special fertility position and the couple headed off for a short Honeymoon, will they conceive? Sonya will be out of Neighbours for a little while as actress Eve Morey had maternity leave, which might have some effect on the storyline.

…. Or will they get lost at sea?

The 2018 promo footage released officially by Neighbours shows that Toadie and Sonya hit a slight problem on their honeymoon yacht, as they realise they have drifted into the open ocean. Hopefully they won’t end up as Piper did, but we all know that soap wedding and honeymoons never go as planned!

Are Aaron and David getting married?

The 2018 promo footage also gave us another possible spoiler! It looks like wedding bells might be ringing for Aaron and David, after David tells his siblings that he’s planning to pop the question to his boyfriend! However, another spoiler clip shows Aaron walking away from David who is down on one knee, after seeing Rory walk by. With Australia now allowing gay marriage, will this be Neighbour’s first gay wedding, or will Rory ruin the couples chances?

Is Izzy back to cause trouble?

Fans will see Izzy Hoyland’s return to Erinsborough in February next year. The Kennedys were separated this Christmas period, when Karl flew to London to be with his daughter Holly – Izzy’s daughter. Susan was very understanding about this, but when Izzy actually turns up on the street, will this be the case? Of course, Izzy is best known for having an affair with Karl, so 2018 is set to be very exciting!
