Neighbours Spoilers: Dee Bliss Drama Far From Over, More Twists To Come!

Neighbours producers have promised that they haven’t forgotten about the shocking Dee Bliss twist.

The Australian soap aired the ten-second shocking scene in August, which showed actress Madeline West sitting on a park bench next to an unknown man.

The enigmatic scene left many viewers wondering if Madeline was this time playing the real Dee, or whether she was back as Andrea Somers to cause more trouble.

Andrea came to Erinsborough in January of this year, posing as Dee Bliss, Toadie’s (Ryan Moloney) thought to be dead wife. Pretending to be Dee, Andrea manipulated her way into Toadie’s life, damaging his relationship with wife Sonya (Eve Morey). When Toadie unexpectedly turned up at Andrea’s hotel room he was shocked to see teenager Willow, who was then made to pretend she was Toadie’s biological daughter.

It turned out that Andrea scammed money out of Toadie, and after sleeping with him in London, also broke up his marriage. Eventually he came cross Andrea’s passport and she was forced to tell the truth, leaving his life in ruin.

The show’s producer Jason Herbison was a massive fan of the storyline, and thought that the Dee/Andrea twist was one of the best the show had ever produced. He stated, “I loved that storyline. We took a big risk with the doppelganger angle but it got people talking and it was filled with genuine surprises. The moment where Sonya witnessed Toadie cheating over Skype was one of the most dramatic ever, I thought.”

It’s nearly four months since the mysterious bench scene aired, and it looks like fans won’t get any sort of answers until next year. However, Jason has insisted that the writers have not forgotten about this surprise twist, and there are many more to come.

Regarding this, Jason declared, “there are going to be high emotional steaks coming up. With Dee/Andrea, we’re breaking convention with this storyline and telling it in a very slow burning fashion. There is definitely more to come.”

What will the new chapter in the Dee storyline bring – will the real Dee be back, or will Andrea return with her villainous ways. Stay tuned next year to find out!
