Neighbours Spoilers: Courtney Has REAL Feelings For Paul?

Neighbours fans were dubious when Paul announced his sudden engagement to Courtney earlier this month, but is the relationship about to become real?

Neighbours favourite Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) sent shockwaves through Erinsborough, announcing after a trip away he and Courtney Grixti (Emma Lane) were engaged to be married.

Of course, Courtney is less than half his age and the daughter of Paul’s long-time enemy Tim Collins. Coupled with the fact that Terese, Paul’s true love, was marrying Gary that same week and had just fired Courtney, fans and residents alike questioned the authenticity of the new relationship.

The main doubts came from Paul’s family. While recently-found-son David was supportive of his father, brother Leo and sister Amy were more than suspicious. To them the engagement plan was two-fold: a way to hurt Terese and an opportunity for Courtney to cash in on Paul’s wealth.

For this reason, after some manipulation and bribery involving the wellness centre, Amy teamed up with Tim Collins to split Paul and Courtney up. However, Amy realised that it was not right to punish Courtney for her own gain, and so decided to let it go.

This couldn’t be said for Leo however, who only interested in Paul for his money. His belief was strengthened when Courtney started flirting with him, and even tried to kiss him! When explaining why she did this, Courtney seemed genuine in saying that her panic-mode default is to flirt. Yet Leo didn’t let this lie and decided to try trick Courtney by making a move on her this time. The joke was on him though, as his current love interest Mishti Sharma walked in just as he was trying to kiss her!

Viewers know the family are right to doubt, as their engagement is just a scheme to get back to Therese.

However, when Courtney throws an ill-attended silent disco at the Waterhole, Paul is quick to come to her aid by inviting Hilary Robinson and her friends from the residential home. Touched by this kind gesture, Courtney sees Paul in a new light. When she suggests they take their relationship to the next level Paul feels confused. Will he make a real go with Courtney, or will he wait around for his true love Terese? Tune in to find out!
