Neighbours Spoilers: BIG Changes Coming – Shane Rebecchi Returns!

Hold on tight, “Neighbours,” fans, major changes are set to rock Erinsborough, beginning with the arrival of an old character and his new family. Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) will get the shock of a lifetime when his brother suddenly reappears after 20 years!

Nicholas Coghlan, whose credits include Nowhere Boys and House Husbands, has taken over the role of Shane Rebecchi, and the actor first appears onscreen next week. The role was previously played by Greg O’Meara. Shane was last seen in town in 1995, when the character appeared in a handful of episodes. This time around Shane is back for good, and TPTB have given him a family of his own.

Toadie is stunned to come upon Shane looking for him on their old street, as the brothers haven’t been in touch much over the last 20 years. But it seems that returning wasn’t Shane’s idea, it was their mother’s! Mom Angie is concerned about Toadie after his breakup with wife Sonya, and orders Shane to do a “welfare check” on her grown boy.

If it was dirt she wanted, Sonya sent the right man, because Shane immediately gets the goods on Sonya when he sees her and Mark Brennan sharing an illicit kiss at the lake. Wow, the guy’s got the radar of a heat-seeking missile!

Of course Shane tells his brother what his peepers spied, and an uproar ensues as both Toadie and Steph Scully demand the truth about what’s going on with the sneaky pair. But Shane hasn’t returned to town just to spy on wayward wives! Show execs have given Shane a brand new family, one that he will soon welcome to Erinsborough.

Shane has a lovely wife, Dipi, and two daughters, Yashvi and Kirsha. Dipi’s sister Mishti Sharma is also coming along for the ride, and spoilers reveal the young woman is a live wire. Look out Ramsey Street, new drama is about to descend when a long-lost Rebecchi son returns to town!
