There’s only two weeks left of Neighbours in 2017 – how are fans going to cope without the show for four weeks?! Well, don’t worry. This is the last year it will happen; from 2018 Neighbours will be a 52 week-a-year show! With this in mind fans can begin to get excited about a dramatic season finale, which will bring many big storylines to a close. Here are ten short spoilers to reveal what can be expected during the final week of Neighbours 2017, beginning on Monday the 4th December!
Kirsha receives life-changing news
After being caught up in the firework explosion, the ultimate fate of Kirsha’s hearing has so far been unknown. However, next week she will finally receive the heart-breaking news that her hearing will not recover. Although her family and friends are doing their best to support her, Kirsha starts withdrawing from her everyday activities. Shane is determined to help her accept her condition, but will the youngster be able to cope?
Piper opens up to Tyler about her panic attacks
After suffering several panic attacks, including one in the pool that put her in great danger, Piper decides she doesn’t want to see a doctor. She doesn’t even want to tell Tyler, believing it would only add to his stress. Thankfully, she does finally confide in him, and he promises to help her find a way to overcome her ordeal. Convincing her to start by dipping a toe into the Brennan’s pool, will Tyler be able to help?

Sonya prepares a huge romantic gesture for Toadie
After Toadie’s affair with fake-Dee (Andrea Somers), 2017 has been a tough year for the Rebecchi family. With their marriage now fully black on track, viewers have already seen Sonya planning a renewal of vows for Toadie this Christmas. Though facing many obstacles, the surprise remarriage will play a huge part in the final episode of this year. Will it be the day that Sonya and Toadie hope for – and deserve?
Angie Rebecchi returns to Ramsay Street
Long-time Neighbours fans are in for a treat next week, when Lesley Baker returns as Angie Rebecchi. The returns comes at the hands of Yashvi, who wants her Grandmother to be part of the Christmas family party. The teen isn’t aware however that the party is in fact a cover for the vow renewal, and has no idea that Angie is the last person Sonya wants to be at the remarriage. To make matters worse, Angie is fuming that nobody told her about Sonya and Toadie’s recoupling. Will she ruin the renewal?
Willow is back as well!
Angie isn’t the only one returning during finale week – Willow is back too! She will be among the guests at the vow renewal after forming a close bond with Toadie back in August. Will her appearance open up the possibility of an Andrea return?!
Sheila confronts her past
After finding out that her grandmother was bullied out of high school, Xanthe decides the only way to get closure is for Sheila to come face-to-face with her past. When she sits down to talk with Joanne – who was her best friend before turning to bully her – it becomes clear that her mean girl ways have not changed. The resurgence of insecurity and anxiety forces Sheila to pull out of her performance at the Erinsborough variety show, but eventually her family convince her otherwise. With Joanne keen for Sheila to fail, will she get what she wants?

Paul vs. Terese: The Showdown
After everything that’s happened between Paul and Terese this year, tempers reach boiling point. When Paul does his best to make Gary’s work life hell, Terese decides enough is enough. She gives Paul an ultimatum: he either steps down from his role at the hotel and finds her a new investor, or she goes to the police and tells them how he interfered in the murder case. Can the two reach a compromise?
David has to make a hard choice
When David and Leo receive an eviction notice, Aaron decides to take their relationship to the next level and asks David to move in with him. David agrees immediately, and is excited about their future together under the same roof. Yet, he is later torn when Paul offers to buy the twins the penthouse next to his, proposing to knock the two into one so they can live as one big happy family. This is everything David has ever wanted, but will Aaron understand?
A ‘Who Killed Hamish?’ shock twist
When Paige and Piper visit the recovered Brennan’s boat, a nearby fisherman divulges some vital information. It seems that Louise arrived at the boat before the time of Hamish’s death, therefore ruling her out as a suspect. When Paige and Piper report back to Mark, they realise that Tyler is the only remaining suspect. Could he really have killed his father?
Gabe is kidnapped
The most unexpected storyline of the Neighbours finale week centres around baby Gabe, who goes missing under heart-breaking circumstances. Paige takes Gabe out for a walk in his pram – a normal, everyday activity. However, this time it ends in tragedy as his pram rolls into oncoming traffic. Paige presumes she’s managed to rescue Gabe by chasing after his pram, but she soon realises he is not even in it. Gabe has been taken from his pram by a mysterious kidnapper – will they get him back?
