General Hospital’s Maurice Benard has been chosen to be this week’s Man Crush Monday! There is no denying just how hot and sexy he is.

Maurice Benard was born Mauricio Jose Morales in Martinez, California on March 1, 1963. He now resides in Temecula, California. His ethnicity is Salvadorian and Nicaraguan.

He started his acting career as Nico on the soap “All My Children,” and now portrays the part of a mobster who we all know and love as Michael “Sonny” Corinthos on the ABC soap opera General Hospital.

Benard joined the cast of General Hospital in August of 1993 and is still there to this present day. Let’s hope he is on the show for many more years to come because the show would not be the same without him. Not to mention he’s easy on the eyes. Do you GH viewers agree?

Sadly, Maurice Benard was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 22, but he has done an amazing job at bringing awareness to this disease on the show because as we all know his character Sonny struggles from it as well.

It was great that the writers incorporated this into his storyline because it has helped many people out there in the world who struggle from it too.

Like his GH alter ego, Maurice is a devoted family man. He has a beautiful wife and four children who he would do anything for. You can always find Maurice playing around on snap chat, he does some funny stuff on there. So, if you do not follow him on there, you definitely should because you are missing out.

Maurice’s character Sonny Corinthos is a very romantic ladies man. He sure makes our hearts flutter when seeing him in action. The way he is so protective over his family makes him even more desirable. When he shows that beautiful smile of his it just makes everyone’s heart melt.
