James DePaiva’s New General Hospital Role Revealed

James DePaiva fans have a lot to look forward to this week. New reports indicate that the handsome actor and former ‘One Life to Live’ star will be playing a doctor on ‘General Hospital.’ GH rumors tease he may not be just ANY doctor, but could be Dr. Jeff Webber, Liz and Hayden’s dad.

Previous reports indicated that James was cast in a mysterious role on ‘General Hospital’ with fans dying to know more details about it. He is expected his first appearance on the June 26^th episode of ‘General Hospital.’ He began taping earlier this month.

James recently opened up about his ‘General Hospital’ reunion that has been 30 years in the making.

Speaking to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, he said that he’s always wanted to return to the hit daytime soap drama. That’s why he jumped at the opportunity when executive producer Frank Valnetini offered him a new role.

He said, “I saw Frank, gave him a handshake and a hug and he said, ‘Would you ever think of doing General Hospital?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ And a week or two later I got the call.”
