The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) news indicates that Ian Buchanan is returning to the CBS Soap Opera. Many viewers recognize him as the handsome Duke Lavery on ABC’s General Hospital and were sad when the character was killed off back in 2015. It is being reported that Eric Forrester (John McCook) will recruit his character who is a psychiatrist and will be asked by Eric to evaluate Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) mental state and to whether she is truly reformed.
As per TV Insider, It looks as if Ian Buchanan will return to the role of Dr Warwick and as many viewers will recall, he also has a complicated history of love gone south with Sheila Brown. It seems now Sheila Carter will be forced to face not only Eric Forrester but another one of her long-lost past loves. Dr James Warwick is said to have some hand and dealings with the vindictive Sheila Carter.
It is being reported that the gig is not a contract but is open-ended. The actor did sit down with TV Insider and shared with them during a recent interview on what’s to come for Dr James Warwick and how his character will tie in with the current storyline on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Buchanan shared and laughed about how interesting it will be for all those involved when Sheila Carter has to face her two loves but of course one of them is being called in to evaluate her mental state- no doubt Sheila will put on quite the show as many in town doubt whether Sheila Carter is truly “reformed” as she stated and who better to see through her than Dr James Warwick.
It has been reported that Ian Buchanan has already began taping scenes for the CBS Soap, he started taping on July5th so these scenes should hit the air in early August as reported by several inside sources for CBS. Whatever Ian Buchanan brings to The Bold and the Beautiful, we certainly are thrilled to see him back.
