“The Young and the Restless” actor Peter Bergman who plays Jack Abbott on the popular Daytime Soap is celebrating a birthday today. (June 11, 2017) In celebration of his birthday, we decided to compose 10 fun things you need to know about Peter.
- Peter was born June 11, 1953, at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, Cuba.
- Did you know Peter was on All My Children as Dr. Cliff Warner from 1979 – 1989? But he originally read for the AMC role of Dr. Jeff Martin.
- Peter once kissed Pamela Anderson while filming an episode of The Nanny.
- Peter has been married twice he has two children, Connor and Clare, with his second wife, Mariellen.
- Peter attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.
- You may remember Bergman in a very popular 1986 Vicks Formula 44 cough syrup commercial Bergman told the viewing audience, “I’m not a doctor, but I play one on TV.”
- In addition to his role as Jack Abbott, Peter Bergman played Jack’s criminal lookalike Marco Annicelli in 2015, as part of a storyline in which Marco takes over Jack’s life.
- Peter plays the piano. He is passionate about contemporary music and has studied since the age of 20.
- In high school, Peter was more of an athlete and actually thought of becoming an English teacher.
