General Hospital star Kimberly McCullough is opening up about an experience on the set of the soap that she’ll never forget. Kimberly says that she felt sick to her stomach when she read a script back in 1992 that had her sharing a “long kiss” with a much older boy while he dropped her home after a date. She was only 14 at the time.
Kimberly is best known as Robin Scorpio on the long-running soap GH. As many actresses are sharing their “Me Too” stories on social media, Robin took to her blog to recall a moment that she best describes as “dangerous and wrong.” She says that a General Hospital producer approached her about having an on-screen kiss with a 22-year-old actor.

Kimberly wrote, “During rehearsal, this guest actor along with another male actor joked around about having condoms for our date. The guest actor felt entitled to make crude remarks in rehearsal with no fear of being fired. I on the other hand knew that if I made a stink about it, I’d be the one who would be fired. I was the minor in the situation.”
To make matters worse, Kimberly says that she approached a producer to complain about the scene, but unfortunately she was quickly dismissed.
She continued, “Gloria told me that I had to do the kiss because it was in the script and said something about him being a good actor and I should be grateful to work with someone so talented.”
Kimberly said, “When it came time to do the scene, I refused to kiss him. With the director and the crew watching me, I stood my ground. He kissed me on the cheek instead of the “long kiss” at the end of the scene.” Because Kimberly didn’t want to do the scene, she says that a lot of cast and crewmembers at the time labeled her as a “difficult actress” to deal with. She added that a lot of actresses today are still caught up in the same kind of dilemma.
