General Hospital spoilers reveal that Tuesday’s May 23 episode of GH will kick off the annual Nurse’s Ball, which is sure to be loaded with shocking surprises and unforeseen twists. This year, Mario Lopez hosts the event as the residents of Port Charles strut the red carpet.

Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) walks the red carpet, wearing a billowy pink layered gown and is escorted by her husband, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Felix DuBois (Marc Samuel) walks the red carpet with Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) who is dressed pretty in purple.

Three generations of Spencers get ready backstage at the Nurse’s Ball as Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) spends time with her mother, Bobbie Spencer ( Jacklyn Zeman) and her daughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) reunites with the real Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), inside at the ball. Griffin asks Anna what is up with her and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Valentin was furious to see Anna, despite learning that Anna’s twin, Alex was the one that really betrayed him. Can Anna convince Valentin to help her recover the Chimera before it’s too late? After months of playing games with Alex, Valentin focuses his attention on trying to win back his wife, Nina Cassadine (Michelle Stafford). Valentin finds Nina at the ball and asks what he can do to make things right.
Meanwhile, backstage, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) tries to prevent Ava Jerome (Maura West) from making a big mistake. Ava has insisted upon going on stage to present a large donation in honor of the late Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig). Scott begs her not to do it, insisting that it will only lead to trouble. But Ava’s guilt is clouding her judgement and may ultimately wind up exposing her.
General Hospital spoilers indicate that Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) can sense that trouble is brewing at the Nurses Ball. Jason tells his wife, Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco), that he feels like something is wrong. Jason’s instincts are spot on but they may not be able to help him prevent his son, Jake Webber (Hudson West) from activating the Chimera on stage during his magic show.

Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) pays a visit to his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and asks why Sonny wanted Morgan’s journal. Sonny has been desperate for answers lately and doesn’t understand why Morgan’s journal doesn’t reveal anything about what caused his downward spiral. Will Ava’s large donation in Morgan’s name tip Sonny off to her involvement in Morgan’s death?
