General Hospital Spoilers: Rocco Falconeri Recast, O’Neill Monahan Joins GH

General Hospital (GH) has casted O’Neill Monahan in the role of Rocco Falconeri, son of Dante Falconaeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu Spencer-Falconeri (Emme Rylan). This will be the sixth recast of the character since his dramatic onscreen birth back in 2013, delivered by Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) after she stole LuLu’s embryo.

You may recognize the talented young actor from a different daytime soap as he previously portrayed a young Chase on “Days of our Lives” and also had a recurring role on ABC’s hit show “In the Middle” over the past year.

This recast is exciting news for fans of the Falconeri family as it hopefully means that we will get to soon enjoy some long overdue quality family scenes with Dante, LuLu and Rocco.

We haven’t seen Rocco on screen since last December, briefly portrayed by Mason Tannous, after the character was SORASed from a toddler to what appears to be early school age.  This was done to make him closer in age to his newly discovered sister, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).

Rocco and Charlotte’s brief scenes together back in December were short lived but very heartwarming as they instantly took a liking to each other before it was found out that they are in fact siblings who share the common past of being born as the result of a stolen embryo.

With LuLu being awarded court ordered supervised visitation we should expect to see more interactions between Rocco and Charlotte soon. Given Charlotte’s current dislike for LuLu after a series of botched attempts to bond, it should be interesting to watch their relationships develop.
