General Hospital Spoilers: How Will Tracy Quartermaine Exit GH?

GH spoilers have confirmed that it’s official and Jane Elliott is leaving General Hospital soon. She has decided to retire when her contract expires this spring. How will her character Tracy Quartermaine exit Port Charles?  Elliott originated the character almost 40 years ago. Tracy is one of the longest serving characters left on General Hospital.

Tracy’s sons Ned Ashton (Wally Kurth) and Dillon Quartermaine (Robert Palmer Watkins) are still Port Charles residents and sharing her home on 66 Harbor View Road, the Quartermaine Mansion. Ned is involved with Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) and recently asked her hand in marriage.

Tracy did give her blessing but Olivia turned Ned down on his marriage proposal. Olivia is a little gun shy in the commitment department. Ned will patiently wait for her to feel more comfortable about their future together. Dillon is just beginning his relationship with Kiki (Haley Erin).

Love is alive in Port Charles, so maybe Cupid could spark some in Tracy. She could realize how much she really loves and misses Luke Spencer (Tony Geary).

Hopefully, Luke misses her and longs for her company again. Fans would love to see Geary return to help Elliott with her send off from Port Charles. Luke left literally in the darkness of the fog on the docks. Writers could possibly send Tracy off into the wild blue yonder to search for Luke.

Tracy would feel comfortable leaving ELQ in Michael’s capable hands. He’s doing a wonderful job running the daily operations. Ned could convince Olivia to move in once Tracy leaves. Monica would miss Tracy, but having Olivia and Leo in the house could fill that void. Monica does have a new granddaughter, Emily Scout to spoil and enjoy.

Monica and Tracy have had their differences over the years but recently have met common ground. Monica would of course want Tracy to always be happy.

Another possible exit is that Tracy could possibly contract her issues with “the worms in her brain” again. Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) tried as hard as he could, but he may be unable to successfully save her this time. Finn is having issues being a drug addict at present time. Certainly fans would be disappointed and saddened to see this long time character killed off.

We know Tracy wouldn’t be missing Paul after all the evil he committed including killing Sabrina, whom she adored.
Tracy and Larry Ashton had some fun in the sun years ago. She could strike a fancy to move to warmer climates to sip her favorite beverages and inhale her favorite herb. It would be fun to see Tracy having a great time again versus losing her life.
