General Hospital Spoilers: Hayley Erin Teases Dillon’s Exit, Her Thoughts On Robert Palmer Watkins Leaving GH

General Hospital is known for its plot twists and turns that are made even more captivating by its cast of talented actors and actresses. But one real life move just shocked not just fans but members of the cast themselves. At a recent cocktail reception designed to celebrate the Daytime TV community and Emmy Awards Season, General Hospital star Hayley Erin (Kiki Jerome) shared her shock at the surprise departure of her co-star Robert Palmer Watkins (Dillon Quartermaine).

General Hospital’s Surprise Move

Hayley admitted that it was hard for her even to discuss the shocking move by General Hospital, sharing that she got “all choked up.” And while some soap opera casts are known for behind-the-scenes rivalry, Erin emphasized that the General Hospital cast are true friends. “I love us together on and off camera. Rob is one of my closest friends,” said Hayley. As to what happened? Erin said that she didn’t know, but shared that Rob will be missed. She admitted her shock when she learned from Watkins about his departure.

Rob Was Let Go By General Hospital

“Rob called me up and told me when he was let go, and I didn’t believe him. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t want to believe it,” stated Hayley. Erin and Rob had collaborated to create a relationship on screen for their characters Kiki and Dillon. The knowledge that the relationship will not continue to blossom is especially hard for the actress to handle, she noted. But Hayley sought to stay brave, sharing that she is trying not to “play the victim” and pointing out that it is Rob who is truly suffering. Erin Feels ‘Devastated’ “It’s Rob’s career, his life, and livelihood,” she said. But amid her concern for her actor friend, Erin feels heartbroken. “I am devastated,” summed up Hayley. “We really had a good thing going.”

As for what General Hospital viewers can expect to see on screen, Erin offered her hope for a fitting farewell.
“I hope that the story is going to come together in a way for his exit that will give not only the fans, but Rob and me some closure,” she said. And on a wistful note, the General Hospital star added her vision for her character.

A Triangle For Kiki?

“I really thought when Kiki caught that bouquet she was going somewhere with that,” confessed Hayley.  On Twitter, some fans think that because Dillon is leaving, Kiki is headed for a triangle involving Michael (Chad Duell) and Nelle (Chloe Lanier). Erin has observed those predictions and is enthusiastic about the possibility.
“All over Twitter I am seeing that the fans think there will be a Nelle/Michael/Kiki triangle. I would be all for that,” said the General Hospital star.

In addition, Hayley offered some teasers about what’s coming up next on General Hospital. Get ready to see Kiki have some unexpected scenes with Franco (Roger Howarth) after discovering him destroying his paintings.
“When Kiki first came on the show, she was heavily involved in Ava’s art and crime,” recalled Erin. “It’s fun to get to do the things that Kristen Alderson (Ex-Kiki) got to do that are a part of Kiki’s history, and revisit it.”

And to those who feel just as heartbroken as the actress about the departure of Killon, Hayley offered her empathy. “I love you, and I am right there with you,” she said.
